Lily Teaching and Learning Tool
The Lily supported Teaching and Learning conferences highlight “Faculty Learning Communities” as an essential tool for faculty development. Cox & Richlin’s recent edited collection, Building Faculty Learning Communities (#97 in Jossey-Bass’s New Directions in Teaching and Learning series), describes their collaborative model in which faculty members and a facilitator work together to improve teaching in a sustained way. Each year Cox and Richlin run summer workshops for new and experienced facilitators along with a conference on faculty development.
Teaching Support Centers at SUNY campuses have many names such as CELT, CLT, CETL, TLC.
They all work to support good teaching at SUNY.
